Stewart McCoy
Stewart has a diploma in lute teaching from the Royal College of Music and a Masters degree in Historical Musicology from Kings London. As a lutenist he has performed in Russia, the Baltic States, Czech Republic, Australia and the USA. For a season he was lutenist for the Royal Shakespeare Company and has recorded Christmas music with Emma Kirkby. Stewart has taught at Norvis and on English Lute Society Courses. He is also co-ordinator of the early music course at Birmingham University. He has contributed articles to Early Music and The Lute and has edited music for the Viola da gamba Society, Lute Society and Fretwork Editions.
